SAS (Scandanavian Airlines) Ireland will not compensate for lost luggage

Posted: Damien Mulley on Jun 12 | Air Travel

So it seems it is not the “policy” of SAS Ireland to compensate anyone who has their baggage lost on the return trip to Ireland. As per this document here. You will get compensated if you are on the outbound leg of your journey though. How nice of them. This is the email I got from their customer service team:

Thank you for your e-mail of June 7, 2007, addressed to our office in London. It is with concern that we learned of the inconvenience you were caused with regard to your delayed baggage while enroute on your trip from Copenhagen to Dublin on June 2, 2007.

According to our Policy, we shall not be liable to compensate any expenses caused by the delay of the baggage to the homebound passenger. However, as a special consideration, we would like to offer you a gift voucher of EUR 40 which can be redeemed at any Radisson SAS hotels in Europe. The voucher can be either used for hotel accommodations or meals. We hope you find this offer to be satisfactory.

I kindly told SAS that I did not require their token.
